If you're wondering about insurance before moving, remember that no matter how careful you are in choosing your mover, accidents can happen. Boxes can be bumped or dropped or shift during transit. What can be controlled is how effective your moving company is at resolving claims and making sure you're adequately covered should an accident occur. Here at Olympia Moving & Storage we utilize a claims adjustment program that is optimal in case you do suffer a loss or damages during your next move. Rest assured our customer service and claims service will work with you in the event that something occurs.

• Local Moving

  Valuation is included for all local moves. The State of Illinois requires local moving companies to provide coverage at $.30 per pound/per item.

• Long Distance

  We include valuation protection for items being moved long distance. As required by our license we include coverage at the level of $.60 per pound/per item in case of loss or damage during your next relocation.

• Additional Coverage

  Please check with any existing renters or homeowners insurance you own. Additional coverage may already be provided under a policy you are already paying for. If not, go to www.movinginsurance.com to purchase insurance for full coverage or declared value.
